Training Has Begun
I started my training last week. On 5/1, I ran 3 miles. On 5/3, I swam 30 of 66 laps. To make a mile in the pool at the fitness center I'm using, it takes 66 laps down and back. On 5/6, I rode 10 miles on the stationary bike. On 5/7, I ran 4 miles and today I swam 40 of 66 laps before running out of time.
The half triathlon consists of a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike ride and 13 mile run. From now until September, I will gradually increase the swimming, biking and running distances each week.
