Lightning Electromagnetic Pulse (LEMP)

In the wake of the storms that passed through a week ago last Wednesday, we discovered that several cars at church suffered from what appears to be a Lightning electromagnetic pulse (LEMP). As some people were leaving from church, they noticed their cars would not start or even turn over. I was standing outside the building watching the storm when a bolt of lightening struck so close that the energy from the bolt destroyed the computer boards in several cars in the parking lot. My wife's parents are having to have their car taken to the dealership to have circuit boards replaced. We found out that a few other cars have had similar problems.
