Heavenly Father, in this next year of life, let me have more compassion, empathy, kindness and love for those in need around me without having to be asked. Give me the awareness and courage to fight for injustices against those too weak to have a voice. Help me to be a better friend, father and husband. Help me be a better witness and testament of your love in a world filled with so much pain. Thank you for all that you have done for me throughout my life and for everything you have yet to do. These things I ask in Christ's name, Amen.
