Wednesdays Are For Others
Had another great night of food and fellowship at Snow Hill
Baptist Church in Tuttle, Oklahoma. We handed out around 130 food
boxes. There was an unfortunate accident with a lady helping set the
chairs back up for Sunday service. She somehow tripped and fell on one of
the metal carts that we use to hold and transport the chairs with from the room
behind the baptistery. It Looked like she injured her leg. Not sure
how severe so an ambulance was called. Please pray that she is
alright. I think I forgot to mention that we also have a clothes closet
that's open every Wednesday night. We are able to provide clothes for
men, women and children in a variety of sizes. We try to meet their
physical and spiritual needs.
Everyone I've carried a box out for has always been very
appreciative of what we are doing. I'm not sure what many of these people
would do for food if we weren't able to do this. It's amazing to see how
many people show up every Wednesday night to get food. No matter where
you live, there are people all around who are in need of experiencing the love
of Christ. They may not be in need of food but they may have other
spiritual needs. Stop and look around sometime and see if you can spot
someone you might be able to give an encouraging word to. You could make
a huge impact in someone’s life by just demonstrating the love of Christ.
