Update On My Dad

My dad will begin another round of chemo starting next Wednesday.  In March he will return to MD Anderson in Houston for another CT scan.  His doctor will have a better idea on life expectancy after reviewing this scan to see how effective the chemo was.  Please keep him and our family in your prayers.  Pretty much the only treatment now for Pancreatic Cancer is chemotherapy.  It now becomes a balancing act of quality of life and keeping the cancer in check.

A year ago my parents bought a house that my dad has been renovating.  He is really close to the point that him and my mom can move in.  This cuts down on a 40 minute round trip drive everyday back and forth from their current house.  I have helped when I can but fortunately he has a friend from church that has been helping him just about everyday since the renovation started.  With the latest news of his cancer resurfacing, my younger brother and I have been trying to help as much as possible to at least get him to where they can move in and stop driving back and forth everyday.  This will allow him to get more done and to the point they can fully move everything over and then get the other house on the market and sold.

We hope the chemo will not knock him down so much he can't keep working on the house.  He is really close to having it all complete but if the chemo brings him down that will set him back.  We need to get them to the point they are fully in the house and the other house is sold just in case his health tumbles for the worse.  He's taking one day at a time fully aware of the future.  We have faith in God that He will take care of us and pray everyday for a miracle.
