Medieval Times of Dallas

I have always wanted to go to Medieval Times.  Tyler had the week of October 21st off for fall break so I took off the entire week so we could all do something.  We decided to go to Dallas for a few days.  We wanted to go to Medieval Times and maybe also visit the Gallaria and see a movie or two.  I must say that it was well worth the pricey cost for admission.  This first clip is how you are greeted before entering the castle.

You step back in time to the era of knights, maidens, wenches, kings and queens.  Not to mention eating with your hands because they hadn't invented forks and knives yet.  The arena is broken up into sections that represent the color of a knight.  In all I believe there were eight knights.  We were in the red section so our knight was the Red knight.

Throughout the performance you see several different horses, a falcon that flies through the arena as well as jousting and sword fights.  The meal consisted of toasted bread, tomato soup, half chicken, spare rib, half a potato and an apple pie.  It was quite good.

During different times throughout the performance your knight will throw roses into the crowd in your section.  My daughter serenity was going to try for one but our knight pointed at her and told her he had something special for her.  He presented her with a sash for being Queen of the Tournament for the red section.

All in all it was a great performance.  I think it lasted about an hour and a half.  Tyler and Serenity were both glad we went.  She really liked it because she loves horses and they had plenty of them.
